We currently offer the variety Bamboosa Balcoova which is sought after for its quick growth and excellent biomass.
Balcooa Bamboo is a thornless, fast-growing variety. This tropical clumping bamboo is often used as a food source and is the most preferred species for making edible products. Shoots of the Balcooa bamboo are consumed as a vegetable or pickled and its leaves are used as a fodder. Other main uses are in construction as scaffolding and in paper-pulp industries as well as for Agarbatti production. This variety consists of culms on an average of 12-22 m high with 6-15 cm diameter. Bamboo Nodes are thickened and Bamboo leaves are narrow; about 15-30 cm long and 25-50 mm broad. Bamboo helps in carbon sequestration.
